I got involved in this event last year. Basically, I was filling in a spot on a boat to paddle in a race. I didn't think much of it to be honest, but something left with me when the event was over. The gratitude that was shown to me for being there by all of the women who were currently in their fight, or survivors was unbelievable. I actually didn't even raise a nickel for the event until after it was over. It impacted me that much that I felt like I had to try and raise a little bit of money. With a lot of support from business partners, friends, and a few strangers; we raised almost $3,000 in just a couple of weeks. I'm going challenge everyone to help hit a goal of $3,500 this year.

Life is full of challenges, but I cannot think of much more challenging than seeing someone you love and care about battling cancer. My mother had cancer, a very close friend lost her battle with cancer this past year, one of my boys' childhood wrestling coach's wife is in a battle for her life currently, and I have a neighbor who is fighting now as well. I will be paddling for them this year and the other 1 million women that diagnosed every year.

I know this is cliche, but no amount is an insignificant amount to donate. It can come as 700/$5 donations to achieve the goal or 35/$100 donations. Thank you in advance for your contribution!
