This year, I’m paddling in the Charleston Dragon Boat Festival in honor of my dad, who we lost seven years ago to pancreatic cancer. Not a day goes by that I don’t feel the impact he had on my life — his strength, his humor, and the love he showed so effortlessly.
The Dragon Boat Festival is more than just a race. It’s a celebration of life, resilience, and community. It brings together survivors, families, caregivers, and supporters to stand united in the fight against cancer. Every stroke we take represents hope, remembrance, and the determination to create a future where more families get to keep the people they love.
Cancer changes everything — for those fighting it, and for everyone who loves them. Supporting this cause means helping provide critical resources for cancer survivors and those still battling today.
I paddle for my dad, for the people fighting right now, and for the survivors whose strength inspires us all.
Your donation — no matter the amount — makes a real difference. Together, we can honor the memories of those we’ve lost, uplift those who continue the fight, and celebrate the survivors who show us what courage looks like.
Thank you for supporting this cause and for helping me keep my dad’s memory alive in such a meaningful way. ??
